shocking results

i think these results are rediculous. girls losing their virginity by the age of 15, not using protection with ot without std's, wanting to be a 'teen mom', drugs, and violence. i have no trouble believing these results, though. here at coffee i'm noticing more and more girls walking around pregnant. some girls even younger than i am. i just can't even fathom what it would be like to have a baby at this point in my life. let alone, having any sort of sex life. i just don't feel like i'm mature enough to handle those types of situations or the emotions that come along with them. i think there are too many girls trying to rush into adulthood and they're being absolutely careless with it.

confidentiality

its up to my friends whether or not they want to share they're passwords with me. they could trust me with it and i wouldn't snoop or anything without them knowing, and i understand that they may want they're privacy. i only know one of my friends' password and that same friend is the only one who knows mine. i trust my friend and i don't think he would give it to anyone else or ever use my password without my knowing.

jonestown

909 inhabitants of Jonestown, 276 of them children, died of apparent cyanide poisoning, mostly in and around a pavilion. This resulted in the greatest single loss of American civilian life in a non-natural disaster until the September 11, 2001 atta No video was taken during the mass suicide, though the FBI did recover a 45 minute audio recording of the suicide in progress. On that tape, Jones tells Temple members that the Soviet Union, with whom the Temple had been negotiating a potential exodus for months, would not take them after the Temple had murdered Ryan and four others at a nearby airstrip. The reason given by Jones to commit suicide was consistent with his previously stated conspiracy theories of intelligence organizations allegedly conspiring against the Temple, that men would "parachute in here on us," "shoot some of our innocent babies" and "they'll torture our children, they'll torture some of our people here, they'll torture our seniors." Parroting Jones' prior statements that hostile forces would convert captured children to fascism, one temple member states "the ones that they take captured, they're gonna just let them grow up and be dummies."cks. Given that reasoning, Jones and several members argued that the group should commit "revolutionary suicide" by drinking cyanide-laced grape flavored FlavorAid (often misidentified as Kool-Aid) along with a sedative. One member, Christine Miller, dissents toward the beginning of the tape. When members apparently cried, Jones counseled "Stop this hysterics. This is not the way for people who are Socialists or Communists to die. No way for us to die. We must die with some dignity." Jones can be heard saying, "Don't be afraid to die," that death is "just stepping over into another plane" and that "[death is] a friend." At the end of the tape, Jones concludes: "We didn't commit suicide, we committed an act of revolutionary suicide protesting the conditions of an inhumane world." According to escaping Temple members, children were given the drink first and families were told to lie down together. Mass suicide had been previously discussed in simulated events called "White Nights" on a regular basis. During at least one such prior White Night, members drank liquid that Jones falsely told them was poison. Jones was found dead in a deck chair with a gunshot wound to his head that Guyanese coroner Cyrill Mootoo stated was consistent with a self-inflicted gun wound. However, Jones' son Stephan believes his father may have directed someone else to shoot him. An autopsy of Jones' body also showed levels of the barbiturate Pentobarbital which may have been lethal to humans who had not developed physiological tolerance. Jones' drug usage (including LSD and marijuana experimentation) was confirmed by his son, Stephan, and Jones' doctor in San Francisco.

grandmother gives birth to daughter's triplets

this is probably the strangest thing i've ever heard of. i think surrogate mothers are a great idea and i think that its awesome that a 56 year old gave birth to healthy triplets, but i personally wouldn't want my mother to carry and deliver my child/children. that's just weird. i would never have that happen.

veteran's day

veterans day originally was held every november 11th, and though it typically falls on this day, officially the holiday is now observed on the weekday that falls closest to november 11th every year. it was first incorporated as by president wilson as armistice day in 1919. other countries today also still recognize november 11th as armistice day or remembrance day in honor of the armistice treaty which ended WWI.

weekend

after work on friday, i went to eastman to visit my mom and my little sister. saturday was my little sister's birthday party at her aunt's house in dublin. so, when we got to dublin we stopped by the mall and looked around. that mall is the worst excuse of a mall i have ever seen. at the party we ate a lot of good food and my sister got a lot of presents. we really enjoyed ourselves. sunday, we slept in. when we finally got up and ready, we were bored so we decided to go to macon. we shopped a little, and i got some really good deals on some clothes. thats about all that i did this past weekend... i didn't want it to end.

when i'm 50, i hope to have a nice house, a loving husband, and a grandchild or two. i hope i'm healthy enough to still do fun, active things like ride bikes and run around. i want to be able to play with my grandchildren, or pets if i end up not having any grandchildren. i hope that if i have kids, i have a really good relationship with them. i hope i will be financially comfortable and most of all i hope i am happy about life and everything in it.

free blog

friday was halloween, but i was sick. i had a stomach virus that has been going around lately. it sucked. then on saturday i had to work from 10-1, even though i was still a little sore from being sick. after work i felt fine, so i went to the barbeque festival to sit with my boyfriend while he sold shirts for the business that he works for. i ended up staying there all day. i had some really great ribs and i watched my boyfriend judge a 'best apple pie' contest. it was funny and i had a really good time just spending the day with him. after that we met up with one of our friends and we just hung out the rest of the night. then, sunday i went to church and got some cleaning done at home. it was a pretty relaxing weekend and i really enjoyed myself. i hope this weekend is just as good, if not better.
